Those of you who have followed me on FB know I'm not a big poster - but this upcoming musical I have to give a huge shout-out to!
YOU DO NOT WANT TO MISS IT!

If you’re looking for a show that feels both timeless and modern, Hadestown is a show you are going to love. It reimagines the ancient Greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice as a haunting musical about love and hope, even at the cost of holding onto both in a harsh world. It turns the story of Orpheus and Eurydice into something super emotional and relevant.

What makes it especially moving is how the students blend the styles of New Orleans–inspired music, poetic storytelling and (of course) the striking stage design to create an atmosphere that’s immersive from the first note. At its core, it’s about love, hope, and taking risks—even when things might not work out.

Even if you’re not really into musicals, this one is different enough that you will actually love it; with its emotional depth, unforgettable scores, and the way it makes a centuries-old myth feel deeply personal and relevant today.

This is going to be one of Plainwell students best shows yet!
