If you are trying to get to the 39th Annual Plainville Fire Company Hot Air Balloon Festival and aren’t already parked, all parking lots are full. We’ve had record breaking crowds and are at capacity. All roads in Plainville are essentially gridlocked and you won’t make it here before the balloons launch, if they launch based on wind and weather.

The Plainville Fire Company Hot Air Balloon Festival is only a few days away. Town Manager Mike Paulhus and Plainville Fire Company Member Adam Seigle share some quick reminders to keep in mind before heading to the event this Friday & Saturday. 🎈

🚫🚙 Do not park on Hollyberry Lane or in the surrounding area. Due to ongoing construction on the Farmington Canal Heritage Trail, the pedestrian path connecting Hollyberry Lane to Norton Park is currently closed and inaccessible.

✅🚙 Instead, visitors can park at Robertson Airport or the former GE/ABB lot, then ride the shuttle to and from the festival, just for $5 per car! Accessible parking and motorcycle parking are available at Norton Park; however, parking is limited.
