Plain Strassenfest

09/29/2026

With heavy hearts, the Strassenfest Committee has made the difficult decision to bring Strassenfest to an end.

For eleven years, committee members, volunteers, businesses and supporters have devoted countless hours to making this celebration possible. Each year took months of planning and it is especially heartbreaking that weather forced us to cancel nearly 40% of the events we worked so hard to prepare. In 2024, a massive rainstorm even brought the celebration to an early close.

This decision was not made lightly. We are deeply grateful to everyone who gave their time, shared their talents, attended or supported Strassenfest over the years. Though we are sad to close this chapter, we will always cherish the memories and the community spirit that made Strassenfest so special.

Strassenfest Cancellation Announcement

It is with great sadness and disappointment that we announce the cancellation of this year’s Strassenfest due to the unfavorable weather forecast. This was an incredibly difficult decision, as we know how much our community and visitors look forward to this special celebration. However, the safety of our attendees, volunteers, and participants must come first. We sincerely thank everyone who dedicated their time and effort to planning and preparing for Strassenfest. We are truly grateful for your understanding, support, and love for this wonderful community tradition.

Some indoor events will still proceed as scheduled:

1:00 p.m. Wisconsin’s Historic Bars and Breweries presentation by Jim Draeger at the Kraemer Library.

8:00 p.m. Live music at Cousins Bar & Grill
