I know all of you have been wondering about this year's BAM Con, so here's the news. We aren't having a BAM Con this year.
Now before you get all upset, we are still putting on a convention, but it won't be called BAM Con. The person who owns that name has moved away and without his permission, we can't use the name. That being said, we also lost a lot of funding to hold the convention too. So we are looking at having a two day event in a different location instead of a three day con at the Crowne plaza. Bu there will be more to come on that as we figure it out!
In a few weeks we will be launching a campaign to raise money for the convention. The more we raise, the better the con will be! So please, if you enjoyed BAM Con, think about donating so we can make this new con a great con!
We do not have definite dates yet, when we do, I promise you all, we will post them! I can tell you all that we are looking at October right now, possibly September but nothing is final yet.
With this new convention comes some changes. We hope to incorporate more fandoms, including sci fi, comics, etc. Some things will stay the same, there will be a dealers room and an artist alley, we hope to still have a game room, dance and guests, and we hope to still make this a good time for all.
Thank you all for your support and continued patience with us, and I hope you can all look forward to the Berkshire Anime Club presenting Attack on Berkshires Con this fall!
