We are turning the Lights ON Liberty on September 17th at 9pm. September 17, 2009, the August Wilson Center, designed by architect Allison Williams, opened to the public.

In 2026, a newly commissioned lighting art installation on the building will reintroduce the amazing, iconic design to the world, created by Rainbow Serpents, Mikael Owunna and Marques Redd.

Join the Center team, dignitaries and friends as we illuminate the building at 9pm.

Sunday Reset is part of a community wellness series dedicated to welcoming participants into a third space to relax and refresh for the week ahead. AWAACC will facilitate access to yoga led by Black owned Yoga Studio Thinkwell Yoga, as food and refreshments available for purchase by our resident restaurant, Cafe Asé. The goal here is to provided fellow wellness enthusiasts to connect, foster business for our resident cafe, and encourage gallery tours and membership.
