Hello all,

In the midst of COVID-19 and the University’s steps and decisions to protect the health and well-being of our entire community, the Beaux Arts Ball: Fantastical Delights will be cancelled for Spring 2020. As our provost, Jim Garrett, recommended, “Cancelling these events is the only way we can commit to social distancing and to limit the spread of infection.”

We realize that many of you will be disappointed by this news, as are we. However, we hope you understand the necessity of this decision due to maintaining the safety of the community. The Beaux Arts Ball committee is heartbroken, as this is our second attempt at a resurrection of the historic event, and the performers, students, and the college have put an incredible amount of effort towards the project.

Though the Beaux Arts Ball is canceled for this spring, this doesn't mean Beaux Arts Ball is over forever! Please reach out about any thoughts or ideas you might have regarding a ‘virtual’ ball or online experience, or if you’d be interested in participating in the postponement of the Ball for next Fall/Spring. Lastly, please stay safe, support your family/friends, and follow best practices for your personal health.

For those of you who have already purchased tickets, we will be reaching out to you at a later date regarding refunds.

Thanks again,

CFA Beaux Arts Ball Committee
