Today, about 100 visitors are gathered at Pittsburg State University for the Mining History Association Conference. Attendees from all over the country have toured mining sites and museums, learned about our local heritage, and how mining ⛏️ in southeast Kansas shaped our culture, our environment, and our people. Welcome to Crawford County!

Today, May 20th, 2026, is Pittsburg’s 150th Birthday! 🎉 We are so excited to wish Pittsburg a very happy birthday!
