I’m posting this message tonight since you’re probably not checking Facebook first thing on a Sunday morning. Tomorrow (Sunday) is the final day of the Boone Family Reunion weekend and it involves two great events, both of which are at the Fletcher Firehouse.
We know that it might be difficult to get to church and get to the reunion luncheon so, at 11:00 am, we’re holding a simple, gospel-centered worship service right there in the firehouse. Joining your extended family for a few songs, a brief message, and prayer will be a great way to start off the day.
Then at noon we turn our attention to what has always been the hallmark of the Boone Family Reunion, the potluck luncheon (everyone brings a main dish and a side or a dessert - enough for your family plus one). Who doesn’t love food, right? We’ll start eating at 1pm.
And new this year is the opportunity to showcase your special family items. There will be tables where each family group can display pictures, memorabilia, handiwork, crafts, art, or other items of interest for everyone to see. So be sure to bring all of your interesting stuff.
Can’t wait to see you all again!
