Hello travelers, social media person here (a real job during the Renaissance). It's been a pleasure, not just for me but for everyone here, to spend these four weekends with you all; everyone here has been putting their whole hearts into this adventure, and you've given it a soul.
The very nature of what I do takes me to many places and has allowed me to see quite a few events, there are none that make me love doing what I do like this one. It's chaotic, it's colorful, it's welcoming; our beautiful Heyford is a real community. We hope you all felt the same way this past month, and that joining us can become more than a way to escape real life for a few hours, but also a way to reconnect: with the people we love, the places we love and with art in all its forms.
And to conclude, a very much due acknowledgements section. First and foremost thank you to the people who nurtured this idea for a long time, brought it to life and brought everyone together. Thank you to all the amazing performers and our cast of actors that have been honing the most incredible sets of skills for years to bring joy and entertainment to you folks. Thank you to every last one of our many, incredible vendors whose craftmanship and dedication weave the fabric Heyford is made of. Thank you to our tireless bartenders and bar manager, who day in and day out were there to quench your thirst when you needed it most. Thank you to our site crew who built this place from the ground up in a very short time and whose work I'll never underestimate after seeing how quickly they tore down the opening gate. Thank you to our behind the scene team who handles logistics and coordination and all the necessary things that kept Heyford running. Thank you to our artists who've sewn costumes, drawn artwork, designed merch and tamed the wild beast that is inspiration to create something new. Thank you to the stage managers and runners who have saved mine, and several other lives I'm sure, on many occasions. And finally, thank you all for joining us again and making it all worth it.
We'll see you again, just a bit down the road!
