Billy Perryman is an award winning custom turkey call maker from Wilcox County, Alabama. He grew up hunting all types of Southern wildlife alongside his father and quickly developed his passion for turkeys at an early age. It was here that Billy learned the art of turkey call craftsmanship and developed the keen ear necessary for precisely tuning each instrument to be capable of calling even the most stubborn old tom. During his twenties, Billy called competitively; learning alongside some of the nation's best callers including the "Turkey Man" himself, Eddie Salter. After marrying & having two sons of his own, he was able to pass his passion of turkey hunting & calling down to the next Perryman generation. Billy's longing to make his very own box call was sparked in 2009 when he attended a NWTF convention with expert friction call maker & close friend, "Lonzo" Trice. It was here that he was also fortunate enough to cross paths with Lamar Williams, a nationally renowned turkey call maker from Florida and now close hunting buddy. Williams' inspiration, advice, & guidance was exactly what Billy needed to turn his dream of making his very own custom calls into a reality in 2011, thus creating Perryman Custom Calls. Each box call starts from Billy hand selecting pieces of the finest wood and then expertly crafting them by hand paying close attention to the most intricate of details resulting in a beautiful work of art with exquisite sound quality & tone that can be utilized by every level of turkey hunter from beginner to expert.
