Taste of Hungary Festival “This March, the sights and sounds of Hungary come to Phoenix” The first festival was held in MARCH 2014 with a great success.

The Taste of Hungary Festivals and Picnics are organized by the FIRST HUNGARIAN REFORMED CHURCH IN PHOENIX. The idea to organize a festival, an outdoor event where everyone is welcome from the Valley,( Arizona and even other states) came from the pastor of the church, Andras Debreczeni. The purpose of the event was to give a taste of the Hungarian culture and culinary delicacies to Arizonans, as

well as to celebrate Hungary's national holiday, March 15th. This event became the largest Hungarian cultural and culinary event organized in the Southwestern part of the US. In 2025 Annual Taste of Hungary Festival will be held on MARCH 1st. The Taste of Hungary Picnics are typically organized in early December.

The 2026 Taste of Hungary Festival was one of the most successful cultural events organized by the First Hungarian Reformed Church in Phoenix. Thank you for Consul Ákos Kerék for participating at our Festival from the Consulate General of Hungary in Los Angeles. Thank you for all our performers: Lajkonik Polish Dance group; Candy Men Duo; Józsi Baky for the great music and dance performances. Thank you for our sponsors, all our volunteers, and everyone who attended this event.

1:00 - 3:00 PM Face painting for kids; Arts and Crafts station.
1:20 - 5:00 PM Dance and music performances

Lajkonik Polish Dance Group in Tucson
