Desert Caravan Open Belly Dance and Drum Circle was proudly hosted by Daddy O’s Bar and Grill since 2016. Even before the pandemic, ensuring that this event was put on smoothly every month was a challenge. With the dissolution of the primary dance troupe that volunteered their time and efforts to put on this event, it is unfortunately not going to be possible to continue to host the dance and drum circle.

We, however, would like to thank the owner, Dave, for his willingness to allow a bunch of dressed up belly dancers to perform and the serving staff that waited diligently on our tables. We would also like to thank, Hasna Asimah (Jane Saxby) for setting up the site for us and providing equipment, to Mary Vollmer Morrow for creating the Facebook events on-line, to Kai Rogers and Michelle Geiger for the assisting of running the events. Additional thanks goes to bdancer, director of the Dancers of DeNile for her assistance and encouraging her troupe to assist and perform. Finally, we would like to thank all of the dancers, troupes, drummers, and audience who came to support the event. It was truly, if you build it they will come, and you guys did. We hope that we didn’t forget to thank anyone. We don’t want to say good-bye, but until next time.
