So....I'm closing Star Camp Creative Labs, LLC at the end of the month since the lease is coming to an end. I tried to find help and partners but it just didn't work out. I was running the place entirely by myself for the last year and there is no way I can do it alone (I mean take on actual responsibility of the company and building, not just work out of the spot) for another 2-3 years. It has taken a MASSIVE toll on my mental health, spirit, and finances, especially with everything else going on in my life (IYKYK). Not even making excuses, it's just the way it worked out. I also learned a lot about how people can move....I'll leave it at that.
The positive side of it was that I got to try. I did some pretty cool s**t out of that building and I got to be of service to the music community in a way that was genuine and productive. I have to double check but we did close to 100 events over the year and half and brought out people from all over the country. Thousands of people came through Star Camp and that s**t is pretty cool.
If someone is ACTUALLY bout it, bout it, the lease expires on the 31st, and the building will be available. I'll connect you to property management if you want but I have already begun breaking things down. No, we aren't doing a final show or closing party. It's a wrap. If someone wants the spot, they will have to rebuild it.
This isn't the end of Star Camp. Trust that. It's just the end of this chapter. Ya'll know me...
There is plenty more to say. Good and bad. And maybe one day I will tell the whole story but right now, I'm just gonna focus on getting this place cleaned up and move on to the next adventure.
Love you.
P.S. Thank you to anyone who believed in the vision and supported it. It means the world to me.
