New show announcements! We announced this one already, but we’ve had a slight time change. Now starting at 7pm, Sh*tty Mozart brings his wonderfully stupid show to Philly for the first time!

Then at 9pm, to get us into the spooky season mood, Dr. Nightmare is debuting (I’m pretty sure) his Super Duper Spook Show and is looking for acts to join the fun!

So excited for this. One of the favorite things Josh has seen this year and finally, Sh*tty Mozart is coming to Philly. Friday, October 2 at 730 at Plays & Players. A level of dumb silliness that we strive to. Get a ticket or the night bundle, because something extra cool is happening at 9 that night.

Want to turn your ideas into comedy sketches that will work on stage? This class breaks down the craft of sketch comedy, from raw ideas to polished scenes.

In this class (taught by PSF producer Curt Riedy), students will develop original sketches for stage and/or screen while learning the core frameworks that make sketches clear, playable and hilarious. We’ll explore how to shape topics into strong comedic premises through structure, editing and revision.

Whether you’re brand new to sketch or looking to level up your writing, this class will help you write smarter and more confidently!

Congratulations to all the incredible comedy theaters being honored today, including MacGuffin Theatre & Film Co, who have graciously hosted us over the last two weeks!

It’s the final weekend of Philly Sketchfest! Things kick off tonight at Sawubona Creativity Project with shows at 7:30 and 9pm, with Friday and Saturday over at MacGuffin for 3 blocks a night of insane sketch comedy. Do not miss this!
