Sing masked with our pod in Old City on Sunday! We will practice songs from the song book led by volunteer song leaders (link in bio).

In solidarity with folks who are being kidnapped by ICE, we recognize that detained people are routinely denied insulin, sterile wound care, wheelchairs, sign language, cancer treatments. And of course, safe clean air.

We sing masked in solidarity, as people with disabilities and medical needs ourselves. We sing masked because we have disabled or chronically ill loved ones. And we sing masked to show support for disability justice in general!

🎵All voices welcome! No singing experience necessary.

😷N95 or KN95 masks required. We will have some extra masks for folks who need one.

🚾 Single stall gender neutral restroom available.

Neighborhood House: Serving Old City for More than 100 Years
A FREE exhibit now open every day from 11am - 5pm!

The Rev. Louis Washburn, rector of Christ Church from 1907-1937 believed strongly that Christ Church needed a parish house separate from the Church that could accommodate the work of the parish. In 1911 the first two floors of Neighborhood House were constructed and by 1912 Neighborhood House was serving as a community center. Programs for men, women and children were implemented without regard to religious affiliation including Sunday school sessions, lunch programs, basketball teams and summer camp opportunities. The final floors of Neighborhood House were completed in the 1920s. The Church’s outreach work became even more critical in subsequent depression years as other private and governmental funds were exhausted. Washburn was instrumental in the founding of the East Central Social Agency in 1932 which coordinated relief efforts for the area reaching from Delaware Avenue to Broad Street, and Market Street north to Girard Avenue.

Stop by the Neighborhood House any day to learn more about its history.
