Jungle Bird Recipe:

🧊 Start with shaking ice
🥃 3/4 oz Appleton Reserve Rum
🍹 3/4 oz Campari
🥃 3/4 oz Wray & Nephew Overproof White Rum
🍍 1 1/2 oz pineapple juice
🍯 1/2 oz simple syrup
🍋‍🟩 1/2 oz lime juice or 1/2 a lime

Shake with ice and pour over ice. Garnish with pineapple.

Be careful! This bird has a kick! 🍹

Basia Mille, in classical Latin, means “a thousand kisses”. It was inspired by a poem by the Latin poet Catullus. The boat was given this name because of the sound made by the waves against the hull. Not so much an inspiration for winning a race but a paean to the joy of sailing.

Jon Hyde, Logistics Chair for the Philadelphia Cup Regatta, gives us a quick rundown on boat classes, docking and why sailors should join us on October 3!

Get your crew together and register now!

⛵ Classes include: J/27, J/22, Lightning, Flying Scot, Mariner, V15, Laser, Thistle, Corinthian Sloop, Sunfish, PHRF and other one-design classes.

Three boats constitute a class, so gather your fleet and come race!

⚓ Need a slip? Slips are available at Pier 3, Pier 5, Penn’s Landing and Wiggins. We’ll also have a lift available for trailered boats.

🚤 Have a powerboat? Come watch the racing from the water or volunteer your boat for the day!
