Mummers Parade & VoteMummers.com Eddie and Chris Tully have hosted the kick off of the Mummer’s Parade at Broad and Shunk Streets for 10year. It was simply judged by the loudest cheers.

Whether your dancing to the tunes of the DJ or strutting with your favorite string band, there is no better way to celebrate the New Year. Since 2004, when the Mummers parade made its return debut to Broad Street, Eddie and Chris Tully has been hyping up the crowd between String Band performances. Based on the crowd’s reaction that year, they realized that this could be even bigger and better.

05 was an even more successful when they added band introductions, captain interviews, and crowd interaction that included sing alongs, an impromptu dance contest and a grand finale with hundreds of people in the street strutting to Golden Slippers. This was also the year for the introduction of the “People’s Choice Award” that was presented to the crowd’s favorite band. A new, custom trophy has been presented every year since. Come join the fun this year as we are doing it again – bigger and better than ever!

This group I ( Eddie Tully ) am part of ( STAND UP SOUTH PHILLY AND TAKE OUR STREETS BACK )is hosting a large scale VIRTUAL Name that Tune event tomorrow night at 6:30pm. I am delighted to be the DJ along with host and group creator Anthony Giordano. We will be giving away gift certificates to local places offering take out and or delivery. I guarantee a fun time while we are all trying to remain safely distant and yet United!!!!!

It's been three years since we lost my brother Christopher Tully. Since then I've teamed up with the American Foundation for Su***de Prevention (AFSP) as an advocate for awareness and prevention programs in Philadelphia.

Please join me on March 9th at the annual AFSP Save a Life Gala where hundreds of people will come together to help fight su***de.

It will be a great night with dinner and dancing as well as great music and yes, the Mummers! www.afsp.org/phillygala

This page along with the Votemummers.com website were both built and maintained by Christopher Tully and a couple of his former students. Not only did Chris host the opening of the parade each year at Broad and Shunk but he and his students shot all the footage of the string band performances and managed the voting system that was in place for the people choice award. Without his help I could have never made New Year's Day at Broad and Shunk what it was. I hope you have all enjoyed the page and its content. Chris and his students donated time, talent and even money to this and never asked for anything in return and probably never would. However I am asking for your help on his behalf. Asking all of you who have joined this page to post this photo and to ask your friends to share this photo to help find him.
