Asheville Tattoo Arts Festival rolls into town today and this is your first shot at the ink, the artists, and a stacked night of live sideshow. Celebrity Artists from TV's Ink Master and Black Ink will be on the floor all weekend, so come find your next piece.

🎨 ART NOUVEAU MEETS TRADITIONAL JAPANESE INK

Miss Amanda () has been tattooing since 2005, building a style around Art Nouveau linework, illustrative design, and traditional Japanese motifs. She built her name tattooing in Salt Lake City, Utah, and still flies back twice a year for longtime clients. These days she runs ebb & Flow, her own studio in Asheville, North Carolina. She's also an aerialist, bellydancer, and fire performer when she's not behind the needle. Every piece she creates follows the client's wants and the natural flow of the body.

Shayla Dwyer () treats color like it owes her something. Butterflies come out glittery, raccoons show up mid-mischief, portraits get shading with real texture and depth. She splits her time between Saratoga, NY and Westerly, RI, but the sparkle stays consistent no matter which shop she's in. Pink bleeds into blue and yellow without ever going flat or cartoonish. Neo-traditional is the base, but she pushes the whimsy until pieces look like they're lit from inside.

Gregor Devera () works across black and gray shading, fine line florals, and illustrative pieces, with blackwork realism creeping into the mix. That blend is what gives his tattoos their pull: delicate linework backed by bold, controlled shading. He's originally from Ciudad Guayana, Venezuela, and now works out of North Carolina. Devera's been tattooing for almost a decade, long enough that the mix of styles feels natural rather than forced.

🎨 REALISM THAT BENDS THE ROOM AROUND IT
Victor Moreno () works black and grey realism, color realism, portraits — straight photorealistic likeness rendered in skin. Then he tips it into surrealism, letting faces melt into fantasy elements without losing the likeness underneath. Nine years in, he's picked up award recognition for both his realism and his custom work. His pieces have shown up at All Stars Tattoo Convention and landed a feature in DGN Magazine Tattoo.
