Doors at 8:00 pm. Show starts at 8:30 pm.

$10 General Admission & Slam Competitors
$5 for Students with I.D. The Fuze is Philly's longest-running PSI-certified poetry slam. What is a poetry slam, exactly? Combining poetry, points, and people, a poetry slam is a friendly comp

etition for poets performing original work, scored by judges chosen from the audience. In our case, winners of slams at the Fuze receive a cash prize, as well as points which qualify them to compete to represent Philly at national poetry events like the Women of the World Poetry Slam, the Individual World Poetry Slam, and the National Poetry Slam. Are you up for the challenge? When being competitive isn't your thing, the Fuze usually opens with our open mic. You can read your own poem, share someone else's, tell a story, sing a song, beatbox, play guitar...the open mic is your five minutes to share your favorite performing and/or literary art. The Fuze is open to all voices, all ages, and all styles. We don't censor, and with that being said, parental/viewer discretion is advised. With performances by featured poets from around the country, the world, and of course, around Philadelphia, you're sure to hear something new and interesting every time you come to the Fuze. Come visit our poetry living room, and enjoy the show!

SUMMER SLAM TOURNAMENT!!

1ST PRIZE WINS $200 FEATURE WITH VIDEO

STUDENTS $5
NON STUDENTS $10

Reduced price for poets $15

RULES

- 8 TO 12 POETS WILL BE PUT IN TWO BRACKETS (HALF IN BRACKET A AND HALF IN BRACKET B)

- POETS WILL DRAW NUMBERS TO SEEN WHO GOES HEAD TO HEAD IN THE FIRST ROUND

- POETS WILL PERFORM ONE HAIKU TO SEE WICH OF THE TWO POETS WILL GO FIRST

- POETS WILL PERFORM IN A HEAD TO HEAD BOUT AND PERFORM A 3 MINUTE POEM

- WINNER OF THE HEAD TO HEAD BOUT WILL GO TO THE SECOND ROUND

- THE POET WITH THE HIGHEST SCORING POETS IN THE SECOND ROUND FROM EACH BRACKET WILL GO FINAL ROUND IN A HEAD TO HEAD HEAD TO HEAD BATTLE.
