They may not be musicians but they Made their Mark on History, we celebrate Women’s History Month!

Today we celebrate "International Women's Day" honoring these great women! Betty Shabazz, Dorothy Height, Myrlie Evers, and Coretta Scott King sharing a good time after the 1995 King Center Salute to Greatness Dinner.

Jazz Bridge presented A Powerful, Talented Woman of Jazz last night and she meant business!!!

Saxist Fostina Dixon from Delaware, mowed everyone down with her leadership and sax prowess, proving Women are bosses in the band!

Of course, you can’t loose with a boss ensemble headed by area legend on the keyboard, Dennis Fortune and badass bass man Michael Cruze of Fortune,Vincent(RIP) and Cruze fame. Drummer Kevin James held it down for everyone exciting the audience with his directed drumming. Y’all missed a great one!

Remembering and Honoring a great lady of Jazz. Monnette Sudler, a native Philadelphian who picked up the guitar and used it to create beautiful music played around the world. I get to sing a song in her honor this coming Sunday. Hope you can make it.
