Day 5 of 5 days of BLDG39 stories in honor of our 5th anniversary. ❤️

This one was a retirement party! 🥳

"BLDG39 was the PERFECT venue for my dad’s retirement party! Having been to the space previously for a wedding and a drag brunch event, we knew it would be the perfect place to host our nearly 90 guests. The industrial charm and unique architectural details created such a memorable atmosphere, and our guests are still talking about how special the celebration felt and how great the food was. The venue was flexible enough for us to personalize the event, which made the night feel even more meaningful.

Tamyron and the entire staff were wonderful throughout the planning process and during the event itself. They helped everything run smoothly and made sure the space looked incredible from start to finish. Communication and planning ahead were important to ensure every detail came together exactly as we envisioned, but the final result exceeded our expectations. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate such an important milestone with family and friends!"

This one is about a first birthday... in fact, two first birthdays!

"BLDG39 isn’t just a venue, it’s where moments turn into memories you carry with you forever. The kind you’ll look back on years from now and feel all over again. From the stunning space to the warmth of the staff, it never once felt like an event… it felt like home.

I celebrated both of my daughters’ first birthdays there—two of the most meaningful days of my life—and I can’t imagine choosing anywhere else 🤍

This one is from Jakkie & Steve's wedding this past summer:

"I scouted the BLDG 39 for a work project and right away I knew this is where I was going to have my wedding (I wasn't even engaged). When we got engaged I emailed on Sunday and signed the contract on Monday. I know this was the place that I got to make the reception of my dreams and it was!"

Day 3 of 5 days of BLDG39 stories in honor of our 5th anniversary. ❤️

This one is from the fabulous and :

"Happy 5 year anniversary BLDG39! Hosting Drag Brunch at BLDG39 was amazing and working with Tamyron and his team from Events with Shabars is a literal dream. I’ve been producing drag events for thirty years. Typically when I host a brunch, I handle everything from ticket sales to the menu to welcoming the guests, and THEN I still have all the work of hosting the drag show. With Tamyron and his fabulous team, I finally got to do what I’m supposed to do—just have fun and perform. Events with Shabars is the DREAM TEAM. Tamyron met me at the door of BLDG39, walked me into my dressing room, gave me a welcoming cocktail, and I got to focus on the show rather than running around and wearing myself out. After the show, Tamyron made sure my team and I had an amazing meal and even sent us home with dessert. I wish I could walk into every event like the ones I work with Tamyron and his staff at the fabulous BLDG39! We are planning a return this fall!"

We absolutely LOVE hosting drag brunches with Brittany Lynn and can't wait to do it again!

Day 2 of 5 days of BLDG39 stories in honor of our 5th anniversary. ❤️

This is a special one... It's from our venue manager, Tamyron, and his husband Matt! We shared recently that Tamyron started his journey with BLDG39 as a groom and came full circle back to us as our venue manager to help other people plan their big days (see our pinned post for the full story).

From Tamyron and Matt:

"Finding the place where 'forever' begins is no small feat. Before BLDG39, we wandered through 'Package C' venues that felt like someone else’s story. We didn’t want a pre-packaged wedding; we wanted a canvas—an industrial, soulful space that could breathe with our creativity.

The moment we walked in, the search ended. Between the soaring ceilings and the natural light pouring over weathered walls, we were home. And then there were those iconic pale green doors—massive, silent sentinels that stood as witnesses while we exchanged our vows.

The entire Arsenal complex felt like a secret corner of Philadelphia preserved just for us. Its red-brick grit and industrial charm mirrored the city we love and the enduring strength we promised to bring to our marriage.

On our wedding day, the building truly came alive. It didn't just host our guests; it held them. The high rafters amplified every toast, every cheer, and the kind of raw, joyful dancing that only happens in the presence of pure love. Being among the first to say 'I do' in this space is a memory we’ll carry forever. Like our marriage, BLDG39 was built to last.
