Raising life takes a village and I revel in the the opportunity to begin to establish my own village by sitting in rooms with successful and driven women collaborate on how to better serve women. To protect and truly care for women in children takes a village, and if you’re like me and wasn’t born with one. There’s always time to cultivate that for yourself. To take to the time to learn that your village exists even, you just have to align yourself to meet them where they are. This conference was inspirational, intimate, and resulted in shared knowledge from medical, clinical, and health care professionals/experts in their field. This is only a few clips because it was important for me to remain present and attentive to the discussion and doesn’t even capture all of the amazing facts, discussions, and information that were had/shared.

As I’m working through completing my doula training. I wanted to learn for myself and inshallah to be able to remind the mothers I wok with of the rights of the new born. I took these notes based on an article and lecture from Abu Khadeejah Abdul Wahid may اللّة preserve him who takes from Sheikh Saulih Al Fauzan Hafid’allah book entitled Important guidelines for the youth of the ummah.

I’m always all about doing things with the muslimahs although it usually connects to studying. Working is no exception we’re such a big community we just gotta take the opportunity to connect and sometimes that’s spending a little extra $$ or driving a little further but is it not worth it to connect with the sisters founded in your same principals? Even if I don’t get chosen this may help another sister so check out and neither of us win this time inshallah maybe the following time.

If you didn’t have plans well now you do! There will be a lunch catered by the sisters of Camden masjid, a beneficial lecture and then bring your purses because myself and other wonderful vendors will be coming out with the works! I will have all my products in various sizes available for purchase 🫶🏽🌺 you will definitely come out better than you went in. And come support the community efforts of fundraising for the masjid. 💕
