This is your last chance to put the Pflugerville Nativity Display on your calendar for this year. This interfaith celebration of the birth of Christ will be open from 6-9 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 5 and from 4 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 6. Located at 700 N. Heatherwilde Blvd, Pflugerville, it’s free and open to the public.
There will be music performances by choirs and local artists every hour in the chapel with plenty of seating. There’s a craft room where kids can create a Nativity tree ornament, and a costume room where they can dress up as shepherds and have parents take pictures.
Stroll through the rooms and view more than 570 nativities ranging from international to crystal, glass, wood, handcrafted, and a general category called The Great Room. Other artwork such as tapestries and sculptures are also included.
There’s also free cookies and wassail for all to enjoy.
It’s free and open to the public. If you’re 65 or older, there is a special showing from noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday. This is intended for anyone with a disability, needing special assistance or those who cannot tolerate the noise and bustle of a crowd. All others are asked to come during the other hours.
