Can I be in the pageant (and possibly win) and still thrive in school and have a job? YES. 🙌🏻

We have had queens in high school, out of state at college, in state at college, have 1 job, many jobs... and they were all GREAT QUEENS.

Your education is ALWAYS priority. We schedule events around YOU. The best part about being queen, it's your year and you get to decide what you do with it! If you're on the fence about competing this year, reach out! I would love to answer any questions!

A much deserved recognition for our very own Jackie Hines!! Jackie is an essential part of our team here and of her community in Athens. We are so lucky to have her! Congratulations Jackie, we are proud of you!

YOUR 2026 ATHENS GLORY DAYS GRAND MARSHAL IS…..

The 2026 Athens Glory Days Grand Marshal is Jackie Hines! Jackie has been a huge positive part of the Athens Community for decades. Her countless hours of volunteer work are unmatched. Her dedication to making the students in the community smile and laugh is inspiring. Jackie is a positive role model for our youth and really shows what it takes to be a true Athenian. Jackie has been with the Athens School District since 2003. In the Athens School district Jackie has had several positions. Jackie started out as an Aide in 2003, was the secretary, and now has been driving the busses since 2011. Jackie spends her time in the summer working for the Menard County fair board. Jackie has put in countless hours of volunteer work, those include the Special Olympics, Library board, leading the community book club, Church funeral ministry team, Missions, and the Nursery. Jackie also spends a lot of her time in the fall/winter preparing for the toys for tots foundation, Red Kettle Bell, and has organized the Angel tree program for 15 years. The Athens Glory Days committee is proud to have Jackie as a part of our 2026 festival and we know our community will be too!

***Boat/Vehicle Pick-Up Reminder***

Boat and vehicle storage at the fairgrounds has ended. All boats and vehicles must be picked up during the following times:

Friday (4/10): 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Saturday (4/11): 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Any boats or vehicles remaining after noon on Saturday without prior arrangements will incur additional charges.
