The Peterborough Players is a professional theatre company that produces 9 plays in the Summer, 3 in the Winter and plays host to screenings of the Metropolitan Opera, London's National Theatre and the Bolshoi Ballet among other events.

Saturday, May 30th at 1pm, our grand finale to our Arts on Screen season is the Metropolitan Opera's El Último Sueño de Frida y Diego. On the Day of the Dead, Mexican artist Frida Kahlo crosses over from the underworld for 24 short hours with Diego Rivera, who remains in the living world, alone and grieving her loss. Compelling music and stunning visuals, this new opera is a wonderful way to complete our season.

Next Friday, June 5th, join the Players' Artistic Director, Brendon Fox and a top secret special guest as they discuss the serious skills it takes to work in funny business. El último Sueño de Frida y Diego is a beautiful ending to our 2025/26 Arts on Screen Season. This gorgeous new opera is a retelling of Orpheus and Eurydice, set on the Day of the Dead. Art, love, and death all come to play for this Met production. See it on Saturday, May 30th at 1 pm. Tickets on Sale now.
