Victoria Campbell (left) and Christian Limberg (right), LaSalle-Peru Township High School seniors, received the L-P Band Parents Association Scholarship, presented by Matt Westerman. This $1,000 scholarship was established to reward the time and education given to creating music for the community to enjoy. The scholarship is awarded to two graduating L-P seniors who have participated in band for four years, have a minimum GPA of 2.0, and completed an essay on how band participation helped shape them into the people they are.

Christian Limberg (left), a LaSalle-Peru Township High School senior, received Jack Feliksiak Memorial Scholarship, presented by Callie Feliksiak. This $1,000 scholarship was established in memory of Jack Feliksiak, a graduate of LaSalle-Peru Township High School with the Class of 1961. He participated in musicals at L-P, L-P-O, and Illinois Wesleyan, and obtained his master’s degree in music education at the University of Illinois. Jack taught Music and Physical Education at Washington Junior High School in Peru for 29 years. This scholarship is awarded to a senior who has participated in music junior and senior year, with a minimum 2.75 GPA, and plans to pursue a degree in music education, performing arts, a related field or continue their involvement in the arts into higher education.
