Thank you for a fun day yesterday! I sent out a follow-up via the email address you used to register, mainly to give you links to photos and results.

Of course, none of yesterday's fun would be possible without the best volunteers. It's an honor to have friends who not only make these events possible, but who go the extra mile (or several) to make them top-notch. Many of our volunteers are also race participants with some pretty impressive finishes, so they know how to create a good experience and are dedicated to providing it. THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart.

Course-marking day! Of course, it didn't quite look like this (stock photo). Weatherperson says we'll be socked in with some fog... which unfortunately means no long-range views from the summits, but it DOES mean some surreal in-the-clouds experiences. The fogged-in summits with nothing but an expanse of void all around are pretty cool, too. Soak it in! We'll see you tomorrow... looking forward to it, as always... 😎

As you make your plans for race day this week, remember that we will have a post-run picnic with all the fixin's... burgers, dogs, veggie options, and soda pops. Feel free to bring a side/dessert, but no pressure. All are welcome to eat, you don't have to be a race participant... kids & family members make it even better!

Yep, we've flipped the calendar to May... which means that we'll see you soon at Lake Sylvia on May 23. Remember that we have a cookout afterwards... stay for post-race snacks and the AURA annual member meeting.

Nature Enthusiasts! We could still use an Aid Station person/vehicle at Flatside Pinnacle. What a gorgeous place to spend a few hours on a late spring morning. You could even camp there the night before. The aid station services the 20-mile-ish distance only, but it's an important one! Interested? Holler at me!
