With graduation season in full swing, we want to take a moment to congratulate the senior members of our 2025–2026 Youth Livestock Ambassador Team!

We would like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to all of this year’s graduates! We are honored to host the Houston County School District graduation ceremonies each year here at the Georgia National Fairgrounds & Agricenter.

As families and friends travel to celebrate these special moments, please be safe and be aware of increased traffic in the area throughout graduation times.

This week, community leaders, partners, and hospitality officials gathered in Perry to celebrate the official ribbon cutting of the new dual-branded Fairfield and TownePlace Suites by Marriott, located just steps away from the Miller Murphy Howard Building.

We are excited to welcome this outstanding addition to the Georgia National Fairgrounds & Agricenter and to the Perry community. The new hotel provides convenient, high-quality accommodations for the thousands of exhibitors, event attendees, and guests who travel to the Georgia National Fairgrounds & Agricenter each year for shows, conventions, meetings, and special events.

As we continue to host events that bring visitors from across Georgia and beyond, this new hotel helps ensure our guests have an exceptional experience from the moment they arrive.

We are grateful to everyone who played a role in bringing this project to life and look forward to the many ways this investment will support tourism, economic development, and future opportunities for both the Georgia National Fairgrounds & Agricenter and the Perry community.

Throwback Thursday: One Year Later! 🐑🐖🏗️

This time last year, we were breaking ground on our brand-new Sheep & Swine Barn. Fast forward to this week, and the concrete is being poured as this exciting project starts to take shape!

If you voted on our Instagram story earlier this week and guessed the Sheep & Swine Barn… you were absolutely right! 👏

We are counting down the days until Spring 2027 when this new facility will open and provide even more opportunities to support Georgia’s youth involved in livestock and agriculture.

This barn is more than just a new building, it’s an investment in the next generation of agricultural leaders, and we can’t wait to see exhibitors making memories and showing their animals in this space for years to come.
