We are deeply saddened by the loss of a great supporter of the Georgia National Fairgrounds & Agricenter, Larry Walker Jr.

Larry's impact on the Georgia National Fairgrounds & Agricenter can be seen throughout this property. He had a vision for what this place could become and worked tirelessly to help make it a reality. His leadership and support helped shape the Fairgrounds into a place where agriculture, education, and community come together.

As Georgia House Majority Leader, Larry was a strong champion for agriculture and for the young people who represent its future. He believed in creating opportunities for youth involved in agriculture and supported programs that continue to make a difference across our state.

The photos shared today reflect just a small part of his lasting legacy—from groundbreaking ceremonies and opening celebrations to the arena that proudly bears his name.

We are grateful for his leadership, service, and commitment to Georgia agriculture and Middle Georgia. His impact will be felt for generations to come.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Walker family during this difficult time.

Thank you, Larry, for your service, your vision, and your commitment to Georgia agriculture.
