This is a very difficult post to make however,
The Lobster Crate will be closing the restaurant effective January 1, 2024.
For those who have had the opportunity to read the history of The Lobster Crate on the back of our menu, you will remember that our original vision was to open and operate an Event Center where the community could celebrate bridal/baby showers, birthday parties, anniversaries, class reunions, weddings/receptions, and where we could hold our own events such as craft fairs, date nights, art shows, sip & paint, murder mystery nights and more.
Four years ago, Covid came on the scene and we needed to adapt. Restrictions were placed on public gatherings so we used the large event center space to social-distance dining tables and opened a restaurant.
We feel it is now time to refocus on the original vision for this space. The last couple of years we have hosted 45 events each year, catering many of those. We already have numerous events, including multiple weddings, booked for 2024. It is our personal attention to the details during our events that make The Lobster Crate a truly special place.
We will definitely miss seeing all of the customers who have come in on a regular basis these past four years. There are so many kind, generous, and caring people that have made a positive and lasting impact on our lives ❤️
We hope to see all of you at times throughout the year at a special event hosted at The Lobster Crate.
A very heartfelt thank you goes out to our past and present crews for making the restaurant such a success, with special recognition to our current employees – Liz, Heather, Suzanne, Tessa, Chase & Kylie. They are amazing!
Closing the restaurant was an extremely difficult decision, but one that we feel is necessary in order to refocus on special events in our community.
