A huge thank you to the Illinois Army National Guard for bringing a Chinook-47 right into downtown Peoria for GO DAY! Seeing this incredible aircraft up close was one of the coolest experiences of the day, especially as families had the chance to climb aboard, explore, and ask questions of the military personnel who joined us.

Special thanks to pilot Andrew "AJ" Hager and the entire crew who helped make this experience possible. We're so grateful you shared your time, expertise, and one seriously impressive aircraft with our community! πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸ§‘

7,500 people. One incredible day on the Peoria Riverfront. πŸ’₯🧑

GO DAY 2026 was our biggest yet, with more than DOUBLE last year's attendance! πŸ™Œ

Water Street was packed with sports, art, live performances, food, interactive activities, and families from across Greater Peoria. Add in the Big Picture Peoria Street Festival and Peoria Chinese Association Dragon Boat Races happening alongside us, and there was something to see and do everywhere you turned! πŸ€πŸŽ¨πŸ‰

But the best part? Seeing 7,500 people come together to enjoy it all.

A day this big takes a whole community to pull off. Huge thanks to everyone who helped bring GO DAY 2026 to life, and to every single person who came out and joined the fun. 🧑

What an incredible addition to GO DAY! πŸ‰πŸš£β€β™€οΈ

This year, the Peoria Chinese Association brought the Peoria Dragon Boat Race to the riverfront alongside GO DAY, filling the water with colorful boats, rhythmic drums, and teams paddling together in a tradition with more than 2,000 years of Chinese history. ❀️

We're so grateful to the Peoria Chinese Association for bringing such a special experience to the riverfront and for partnering with GO DAY this year. Thank you to everyone who raced, participated, and stopped by to experience it! πŸ™Œ

What a DAY, Peoria! πŸ’₯

GO DAY brought so much fun to the riverfront last Sunday, and we loved seeing Water Street filled with families, creativity, activities, and people out enjoying our community together. 🧑

From a Chinook-47 on the lawn 🚁 to art happening right before our eyes 🎨 and plenty of fun in between, there was something to discover everywhere you looked. πŸ‘€

A huge thank you to everyone who came out, participated, performed, created, volunteered, and helped bring GO DAY to life. And a special shoutout to Big Picture Peoria for bringing the Street Festival alongside us for another incredible day downtown! πŸ™Œ
