It’s been another productive week behind the scenes at The Palate Tasting Room.

We’ve been meeting with contractors, coordinating project details, and making progress toward opening our doors in the Warehouse District. While we don’t have an official opening date to share just yet, we’ll be excited to share next steps as they come together.

In the meantime, we’ve started tasting with many of you through private, off-site wine experiences, and we’d love to connect in that way while our space takes shape.

Thank you for the patience, encouragement, and excitement. We can’t wait to welcome you into The Palate Tasting Room and share wine with you soon. 🍷

It’s been an amazing week for the Tasting Room. Here is 1 of 2 highlights to share. 💛

I had the chance to reconnect with one of my longest and dearest friends in wine this week—someone I worked alongside at a wine bar in DC more than 20 years ago. What started as coworkers grew into a lifelong friendship, and watching her build her own path as an entrepreneur has been incredibly inspiring.

We met up in St. Louis this week to support each other’s journeys, reflect on how far we’ve come, and dream a little about what’s ahead.

Here’s to friendship, good wine, and the next chapter for Boom Photo Booth and Tasting Room. 🥂

Starting a food and beverage business is a lesson in intention.

In these quieter winter weeks, I’ve been working behind the scenes—food safety and allergen training, permitting and licensing, and all the important details that ensure Palate Tasting Room is a place you can enjoy with confidence.

It’s meaningful work, and it’s shaping the space in thoughtful ways.

As we head into 2026, it’s fun to look at this list of wines worth tasting from 2025! Have you tried any on the list? I love tasting because you don’t have to commit to one glass or bottle. You get to try a few before picking your favorites and then go from there. I’m really excited about tasting with you all in 2026.. Stay tuned for details on opening! Goodness — the support this week has been unbelievable! Thank you all so much for the enthusiasm, the comments, the messages… it’s been such a joy to see how excited everyone is about The Palate Tasting Room. I can’t wait to plug into the wine tribe more formally with all of you. 🍷💛

Several have asked what things will look like as we get started, so I wanted to share a little context about how we will operate — including a few things you’ll be able to book even before the tasting room opens.

While the long-term dream is a full-time wine bar and retail shop, we’re starting with really fun, curated tasting experiences. Here’s what that means:

1️⃣ Seated wine tastings (after we open): You’ll be able to reserve a spot in a guided tasting — think of it like scheduling a visit to a winery in Napa or other wine regions.

2️⃣ Private tastings anywhere you want (coming before we open): I’ll come to you! Your home, your office, your event — if you want to gather friends and explore wine together, I’m there.

3️⃣ Private parties at the Tasting Room (once the space is ready): Our Warehouse District spot will host groups of about 8–30 people for your own private tasting event.

4️⃣ Gift cards (available soon!): Since so many of you have asked — yes! Gift cards are coming, and you’ll be able to use them for classes, private tastings, or onsite Tasting Room events (once the space is open).

It’s going to be such a fun adventure building this together, and I honestly can’t wait to share more. Thank you again for all the love this week — it’s been overwhelming in the best way.
