Formally Heather Saler's Lung Cancer Walk, Breathe Deep South Jersey was founded in 2004 and is the longest running lung cancer walk in southern New Jersey. From the beginning, Heather Saler's Lung Cancer Walk focused on LUNGevity Foundation's ultimate vision of a world without lung cancer. Heather Saler, the event's original coordinator, passed away at the age of 38 after surviving 5 years with l

ung cancer. Today, Breathe Deep South Jersey continues to raise critical funding for early detection research and improved treatments for lung cancer. Since its inception, the event has raised more than $700,000.
