With Christmas behind us, it’s time to turn our focus to fundraising and preparing for the second-largest St. Patrick’s Day Parade in New York State.

Each year, the St. Patrick’s Day season begins with the Rockland County Emerald Ball. Once again, the Rockland County Men’s and Ladies’ Ancient Order of Hibernians invite you to support this special event.

The Emerald Ball is a night to celebrate Irish heritage with friends, food, and music, and it serves as a primary fundraiser for the Annual Rockland County St. Patrick’s Day Parade. We hope you will join us on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at the Pearl River Hilton at 7:00 p.m.

As always, we will honor individuals who exemplify our motto of “Friendship, Unity, and Christian Charity.”

A Message from AOH County Board Presidents Dermot Moore and Terry McGeever

Since 1963, the men and women of the Rockland County Ancient Order of Hibernians have proudly hosted the annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade. It has become a cornerstone of Rockland County tradition—celebrating Irish heritage while bringing together families, friends, and visitors from around the world for a day of community and culture.

This celebration would not be possible without the support and hospitality of the Town of Orangetown, the hamlet of Pearl River, and especially the professionalism of our first responders. We are particularly grateful to the Orangetown Police Department for ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all.

Hospitality is a core Irish value—and with it comes the guest’s responsibility to show respect and courtesy to their hosts. In that spirit, we ask all parade participants and spectators to be mindful of the residents and businesses of Pearl River. Please comply with all directions from law enforcement, especially regarding parking and open container regulations.

We also urge everyone to remember the true meaning of the day: honoring St. Patrick and the generations of Irish Americans who have contributed so much to our country. Let’s live up to the meaning of the day and not down to the stereotypes that Irish Americans struggled against.

Together, let’s keep the Rockland County St. Patrick’s Day Parade a joyful, respectful, and meaningful tradition for generations to come.
