You can sign up for a 1,2,3 or 4 hour shift — whatever works best for your schedule!

It’s a fun way to support our community and be part of one of Paxton’s favorite traditions. 🇺🇸

A note from July 4th race director, Adam Kyrouac:

“All, first I would like to say thank you to all our wonderful sponsors this year, and to all of YOU who made the race so special. We had almost 100 runners, and we are so thankful for your help to the community we love so much.

“Unfortunately as your race director, I have failed you. We had TWO separate clock devices malfunction, and can’t get times for anyone. I deeply regret it, and promise to do better. We had the top three males thanks to Will Brumleve, but that’s all. This one is on me.

“Next year, we are moving to fully electronic places and times so that we don’t have this problem again. We will also be doing a fully online race signup system that makes it easier for everyone to handle. Thanks to you, this race has outgrown hand timing, which I never could have imagined.

“With that, we will definitely need more sponsors, as electronic timing does cost quite a bit of money, and I’ve always tried to run this as cost effectively as I can. So please, if you’re interested in helping out, please reach out!

“I so look forward to seeing everyone next year!”

WHAT A CELEBRATION, PAXTON!

Thank you to everyone that came to Pells Park on Friday, July 4th to celebrate Independence Day! No doubt, this was our BIGGEST event yet-- 100 entries into the 5K Race, 125 cars in the car show and 41 tractors in the antique tractor show! This community event continues to grow in every way and we'd like to thank EVERYONE that attended and that contributed to making it a huge success. We're so happy you chose to spend your holiday with us!

Paxton's Old-Fashioned 4th of July is co-hosted by the Paxton Area Chamber of Commerce and by Paxton Main Street-- great thanks to both organizations for planning and coordinating the day. A successful event this large takes time and work from numerous volunteers, groups and organizations, so we'd like to thank them here:
