Matthew Urbaniak🌾
If there’s one person who knows these fields like the back of his hand, it’s Matthew!
As the son of Lori and Ashley, Matthew has spent his entire life growing up on the very land that Griggs Farm calls home. From childhood memories in these fields to helping turn the farm into what it is today, he’s been part of it all!
You’ll often find him in the shop alongside Ashley, building, fixing, or figuring out how to accommodate whatever the barn needs. He’s also one of our go-to guys for the heavy lifting — moving tables, chairs, pews, and just about anything else that needs relocating! With a sharp mind, quick wit, and a knack for figuring things out, he brings plenty of brains and humor to the team.
Even with a full-time job and a family of his own, Matthew makes it a priority to stay involved, keeping things running smoothly and doing his part to carry on the family legacy. ❤️
And here’s a little piece of Griggs Farm history! Matthew is also the husband of our very own Grace, whom we introduced a few weeks ago. The two were actually the very first couple to get married here! Long before the beautiful barn you see today, there was no roof, no grand venue — just a tent, an old hay barn, and a whole lot of love. Their wedding was one of the first chapters in what Griggs Farm would eventually become. 🤎
Matthew may do most of his work behind the scenes, but his roots run deep here. For him, this isn’t just a venue — it’s home, it’s family, and it’s a legacy worth continuing.
