Video / Photographer - I'm going to see if Jess will be willing to take pictures/videos as a way to make some extra money..they should be nice because she's really good, and it's not going to be super expensive.

Awards, Placings, Ride Times -

My goal is to schedule it so that people can show up, get ready, ride and go home. I'll have family groups come and go as a team.

That evening/afternoon we can all meet at Long Branch or Loading Chute and have an awards Ceremony...I'll arrange enough tables that people can sit with family/friend groups. We'll pick the restaurant, awards can also be mailed or I can hand it to you at your next lesson 🤣🤣🤣

Tack / Attire:

I would like to make this as close to a real show as possible but if anyone is unable to meet the tack/attire requirements I won't throw rocks at you.

Classical Dressage: Coats off for Hot Weather - Britches, tall boots or paddocks with half chaps (purple half chaps okay for Miss Tabitha). Belts required, English style shirts, no collar okay but buttoned to the top. Helmets in any color.

Tack (Dressage or Hunter) saddle, bridle, bit - I think everyone will have correct bits but unconventional bits will be allowed/discussed if needed. No wraps/boots for the horses.

Western Dressage: Long sleeved button up shirt, Jeans, Chaps okay, any color, fringe chaps discouraged. Boot with a heal, western boot or paddock boot okay. Belt required.

Tack - Western Saddle (with or without bling), clean pad, western type bridle, brow band or split ear okay. I'll make sure everyone is in the correct bit for the show.

People: no loose hair please, buns, snoods, braids (not hanging down your back), I would like those that have gloves to ride in them. Katey - with 3 girls I suggest You, Em & Vi put yourselves together at home so we just have to deal with Tabitha at the show.

Horses: If it stays warm enough to bathe, everyone should be bathed the night before and blanketed, button braids can be done the night before, french braids right before your class.

I can help braid morning of but I can not braid 10 horses at once so you'll have to space yourselves.

Braids apply to Classical Dressage only.

You DO NOT have to bang or shave tails.

This is the hard part: PLEASE no extra guests, no extra moms or dads or grandma's or aunties and uncles...Just us. Bring the bare minimum number of hands you'll need to get through the day, I am going to try to bring a groom that y'all can share and that can help me.

This page was designed to help answer questions about the upcoming Show on 6/14/20.

This will be a Dressage Schooling Show, both Classical and Western, Any Level, Test of Choice. One test per rider is suggested.

The rider will ride their test and be judged/scored.

Immediately after their ride they will speak to the Judge about their ride and the Judge will offer constructive criticism and suggestion for improving their test. You and the Judge may decide to practice or re-ride portions of your test or after a few comments you may decide to re-ride your entire test and receive a separate set of scores.

The riding tests take about 5-7 minutes to complete, we are planning about 30 minutes total time per rider/test. After your first ride you will have about 20 minutes with the Judge to either school your horse/test or speak for 10-15 minutes and then try again.
