After years of discipline, passion, and tireless practice, Anjali will be taking the stage for her debut solo performance. We humbly request your warm thoughts, blessings, and prayers as she enters this final stretch of preparations.

Shiva Jyothi Dance Academy proudly presents the debut performance , the Arengetram of our student, Avantika Lakshman on Saturday, Sept 28, 2024 at the Bridgwater Temple Auditorium in New Jersey. The Arengetram can be viewed live starting at 3:30 pm tomorrow.

Shiva Jyothi student, Anvitha Bharath Kailash, performed her Arengetram on April 20th, and our audience were left awe-struck. Anvitha put on a heart racing performance, literally.

We had received a lot of compliments after the Arengetram, but this one caught our attention. This was a comment from one viewer "At the end of the program , Anvitha beautifully expressed all the characters as Krishna, Yasodha, Puthana , Dhuriyodana , Draupadi, Arjuna… that was a show stealer .. This was my state during her dancing performance.." - Vidya Sukumaran

She had sent us a picture of her watch showing her heart rate rose above 120 beats per minute during the show.

Ganesha Krithi is an invocatory composition dedicated to Lord Ganesha:

"Oh, Lord Ganesha, you are the remover of all obstacles, and you bring success to all the endeavors of your devotees."

This composition begins with a Praveshadharu (Prelude) composed by Sri A.R.Bala Skandan, which includes the 5 Moola or Bija Mantras (chants that invoke divinity) - Om, Shreem, Hreem, Kleem, and Glaum. Each mantra celebrates the specific form and divine blessings bestowed upon the devotee. Following this prelude, the composition transitions into the devotional song "Gam Ganapathiye".
