Hi everyone, Hope you are having a great summer! Below are the 4 shows we will be having this year for Edgar's Place... Unfortunately, these will be the last 4 shows of Edgar's Place unless something drastic changes.. Since Covid, Edgar's, (as well as many other small acoustic venues I've talked to) has had trouble getting people to return to our live venue. Coupled with a diminishing pool of volunteers, we've had to take on more responsibilities with less attendance.. It's also not fair to the incredible artists we bring in since their pay is contingent upon attendance..
So as it stands, Edgars will be no longer having a series after December (Although there is a possibility of doing a stand alone show every once in a while)... I want to thank Valerie Birk and our volunteers for all their help over the years, and for their continued support, as well as the audiences and fabulous performers.. Edgars had a 32 year run and should be proud of its legacy ... Also kudos to UUCC of Park Forest for providing the wonderful space for this series.
I've been running various listening rooms for over 40 years and I can tell you it doesn't work without all these people working to make it happen... Please thank all of them when you see them.. I'm certainly grateful for all their help.
WE will end with a bang though, and please, please, please help us send Edgars program off with a bang
