MADE HERE | DELCO TRAILERS

A trailer built in Brookston could carry equipment to a jobsite hundreds of miles away. It starts right here in Lamar County.

Delco Trailers began in a small Paris shop in 2006 and now builds trailers at its Brookston manufacturing facility. Behind every finished trailer are people who cut, weld, assemble, inspect, and take pride in what they send out the door.

That’s what “Made Here” means to us: local skill at work far beyond our county line.

Thank you, Delco Trailers, for building in Lamar County.

You may see PEDC at a groundbreaking or ribbon-cutting. The work starts well before either one.

Have an economic development question you’ve always wanted to ask? Drop it in the comments. It might become the next post in this series.

Every year, at the Lamar County Chamber of Commerce Celebration, we are given the opportunity to recognize a local employer with the "Industry of the Year" award.

As we prepare to recognize the 2026 Industry of the Year, we want to take a moment to reflect on a few of the past years' recipients.

National Manufacturing Day 🇺🇸
Made in Paris means more than a product coming off a line. It means skilled work, local careers, and companies investing in this community.

On Manufacturing Day, we thank the people and businesses whose work helps make Paris an industrial center for Northeast Texas.

Thank you, Lamar County Chamber of Commerce, for the invitation to share at the Chamber’s first “What’s Next” alongside PJC President Stephen Benson. A highlight for us was sharing the strategic, positive collaboration between the PEDC and PJC.

We enjoyed sharing with your members what the future holds for Paris and the PEDC.
