In the Gospel of Luke, we encounter a man whose life was dramatically transformed by the power of Jesus. After being freed from a legion of demons, this man begged to stay at the feet of the Savior, desiring the comfort and secu- rity of His presence. Yet, Jesus gave him a surprising command: “No, go back to your family, and tell them everything God has done for you” (Luke 8:39). This directive to “Go and Tell” was not just a suggestion; it was an authoritative call to leave his comfort zone and approaching his own people with the message of God’s mercy. It is this same mandate that fuels the heart of Ambassadors for Christ (AFC) today as we partner with Chinese churches across the United States to reach a new generation of intellectuals.
Campus: The Strategic Mission Field on Our Turf:
We live in a troubling time where the cultural landscape of our universities is rapidly shifting. These campuses, which once served as the spiritual nurseries where many of our Chinese churches first began as international student Bible studies, are now battlegrounds for ideologies that leave young minds confused and misguided. In this spiritual war, the campus remains the strategic high ground where the future of our legacy and the global mission of the church will be decided.
AFC’s vision, first received by our founders 63 years ago, remains steadfast: to win this generation of Chinese intellectuals for Christ. We view the campus as a mission field and the local church as our vital partner. To this end, we have launched Project S.E.N.D. 2.0, a strategic initiative to recruit and send high-caliber campus ministers to major universities with high concentrations of Chinese students. Our goal is to increase our full-time campus staff from 30 to 60 over the next three years, effectively doubling our face- to-face evangelism capacity.
To reclaim this strategic high ground, we ushered in a new era of campus ministry in March 2026, partnering with local congregations to deploy dedicated missionaries into these vital fields. This model represents our unwavering determination to establish vital spiritual outposts on campus where students can be reached by the power of the Gospel and discipled into life-long followers of Christ.
Cultivating Missional Disciples through Innovation:
Our strategy does not end with conversion; it focuses on cultivating missional disciples. We are reaching students where they reside—online. The Discipleship Resource Center (DRC) has developed the YoungHub App, a digital hub that connects origi- nal creative content, music, and articles with campus ministries across North America. With over 27,000 subscribers to our Audio Ambassador Magazine, we are providing a constant stream of Gospel-centered teaching to the next generation.
Furthermore, we are moving beyond traditional student outreach to mobilize the “whole church”. This requires addressing the generational divide within our congregations. The Generations Together Symposium, scheduled for June 2026 in the Bay Area, will bring together leaders from Overseas-Born Chinese (OBC) and American-Born Chinese (ABC) back- grounds to foster trust and synergy. Our mandate has shifted from “Chinese for the Chinese” to “Chinese for the World.” We believe that by bridging these gaps, the Chinese immigrant church will unlock its full po- tential as a unique mission force.
From “Harvested” to “Harvesters”:
The impact of this vision is best seen in the lives of those we serve. At CMC 2024, we witnessed the power of the “Next Step” pipeline - our strategic effort to transform the “harvested” into “harvesters” for the Kingdom. Consider the journey of a dedicated couple whose path
reflects this transformation. One of them first responded to a call for bi-vocational missions at CMC 2013, just two years after becoming a believer. After more than a decade of spiritual formation and a joint dedication at CMC 2024, they are now deploying for cross-cultural missions in a Muslim country in the Middle East. Their journey demonstrates our commitment to the patient, long-term follow-up required to turn a moment of ded- ication into a lifetime of global impact.
As we look toward CMC Global 2027 in Northern California, our theme is “Crossing with Christ: Pro- claim Him to All Nations and Every Generation”. This convention will be a space where students, profes- sionals, and families can be renewed in their passion to take the whole gospel to the whole world.
A Faithful Legacy and a Call to Support:
As we commemorated the 100th birthday of our co-founder, Rev. Moses Chow, in November 2025, we were reminded that “He still speaks, and God still calls.” Rev. Chow’s life was defined by the simple question: “Are you available?” Today, AFC asks you the same.
Will you join us in this “Go and Tell” movement? Will you help us ensure that the whole church takes the whole gospel to the whole world? Together, we are ambassadors for Christ, carrying a legacy that began six decades ago into a future filled with hope. Thank you for your partnership in this vital ministry.
