Once home to the premier billfish tournament in the south, the Bay Point Billfish Open is proud to announce the return of an elite sportfishing tournament to the all-new Point South Marina at Bay Point! Four Bay Point residents have joined forces with top tournament promoters to bring back the largest event of its kind to Panama City Beach here in Bay County. Like other popular tournaments, the Ba

y Point Billfish Open will include pelagic species such as Blue Marlin, Tuna, Wahoo, and Dolphinfish, along with Catch and Release categories for all the Gulf of Mexico Billfish species. Prize money, combined with optional tournament entry categories is expected to exceed One Million dollars in the first year. Do you love fishing, the water, big catches, big smiles, and representing women in the sport we love?

Then it’s your time to shine!

Applications are now open for 2026 Ms. Reel Lady — Baypoint Billfish, a special opportunity for one amazing lady angler to represent the Reel Ladies spirit: confidence, kindness, conservation, adventure, and a whole lot of fishing fun!

The ideal candidate will be an active angler with a community-oriented attitude, volunteer experience, and a true passion for sharing her love of fishing with others. She should enjoy encouraging women, children, and families to get outdoors, learn the sport, respect our fisheries, and create lasting memories on the water.

Our 2026 Ms. Reel Lady will be crowned on Thursday, June 25th at the epic Bay Point Billfish Open, one of the most exciting sportfishing events on the Northern Gulf Coast! Get ready to experience the energy of the docks, the excitement of the boats, and those incredible offshore catches firsthand.

In addition to being crowned 2026 Ms. Reel Lady, the selected lady angler will also receive at least a $1,000 cash scholarship award to help advance her skills, education, and opportunities within the fishing industry.

This is more than a crown — it’s a chance to inspire others, represent women in fishing, support conservation, continue growing in the sport, and be part of a community that believes fishing is about so much more than the catch.

Whether you’re a seasoned angler, a weekend fisherwoman, a conservation-minded outdoorswoman, or a lady who simply lights up around fishing and community — we want to hear from YOU!
