Today marks 25 years since the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001—a day that forever changed our nation.

We remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost that morning. We honor the firefighters, law enforcement officers, emergency personnel, military members, and ordinary Americans who answered tragedy with extraordinary courage.

We remember those who later lost their lives from illnesses connected to the rescue and recovery efforts. We remember the families who still carry the loss of their loved ones.

And we honor the generation of American service members who answered our nation's call in the years that followed—those who served, those who were wounded, and those who never came home.

Twenty-five years have passed, but our responsibility to remember has not.

On this Patriot Day, the Palmyra VFW Memorial Post 6417 asks our community to pause, reflect, and remember.
