Sunday Grand Tastings brought the weekend to a close with a final round of bites, pours, and chef demos — a chance to revisit favorites, discover something new, and soak in the last of the Palm Desert Food & Wine energy.

From caviar and cocktails to standout dishes from across the valley and beyond, it was a fitting finale to a weekend built around great food and even better company.

A sun-soaked send-off to Palm Desert Food & Wine.

Chefs Susan Feniger and Mary Sue Milliken closed out the weekend with the Taste of Sunshine Brunch, serving up biscuits, shakshuka, and a salted caramel finish alongside stories, technique, and a few well-earned laughs. 

It was the kind of morning that captured what the festival does best — great food, great people, and a reason to linger a little longer.

Celebrity chef and Palm Desert Food & Wine returning favorite Aarti Sequeira led a bus tour that took riders to two date farms, culminating in an alfresco lunch.⁠

Tour participants were subsequently invited to Hadley Date Gardens, The Packhouse, and Aziz Farms in Thermal. They then proceeded to the nearby packing facility to observe the previous season’s medjool date harvest being sorted, pitted, and packaged for consumption.⁠

Participating chefs included Susan Feniger and Chef Mary Sue Milliken, Meg Bickford, Dominique Crenn, and Chef Gale Gand, with Zac Young and Chef Jamie Gwen as emcees.
