Funeral/Celebration Of Life Announcement for Esteban "Steve" Dario Gomez (Steve Gomez)
01/17/1975 - 10/31/2025
Esteban was and will always be ONE in a million ✨️. Born in Queens, NY to Ana Garcia Barner and Dario Gomez (who he reunited with in Heaven), he grew up working at his Father's restaurant in Troy, NY before going on to own his Family business "Gabriana's Express" est. 1999 in Palatine Bridge, NY. Ofcourse, who could ever forget his other Pizzeria "Belle Aroma" in Fultonville. He lived, eat and breathed Family, Work & Pizza all of his life. In more recent years, he was able to travel (one of his favorite places being Disney) and enjoyed working EDM shows/The Harley Rendezvous while also riding his motorcycle to Turning Stone or into the sunset with his Fiance. He could light up a room anywhere he went with his beautifully bright smile, and loved to tell you his corny jokes.. 🍕
"Are you into fitness?" "Yeah, fitness this whole Pizza in my mouth".
"What kind of person doesn't like Pizza?" "A weir-dough"..🥁
He had the magic touch and put his heart into EVERY dish he made, pizza he slung, and friend that he helped in his 50 short years of life here on this Earth.
Steve passed away peacefully, early Halloween morning after a very shocking and unfortunate diagnosis of suspected Familial Creutzfeldt-Jacob Disease only 11 days prior. A true warrior all the way up until the very end. He was at home, surrounded by love & his Family - Taylor Thomas (Fiancé), Tawn & John Thomas (Monsters in-law), Ryan Unser (Bestfriend), John Thomas J.R (Brother in-law), Andrew Thomas (Brother in-law) God & Jesus Christ.
He is also survived by his Children, Step-Father Roger Barner, The Glen Family, The Ruckwardt Family, The Barner Family, The Leneker Family, Brother & many more cousins/nephews/nieces/friends.
A Celebration Of Life took place - Saturday, November 15th, 2025 11 a.m - 1 p.m @ 5609 State Highway 10, Palatine Bridge, NY, 13428 With one last Motorcycle & Hot Rod ride 10-11 a.m before services formally began.
A YEARLY Celebration Of Life will take place on the 4th Saturday of EVERY July, 2-5 p.m (next one will take place on July 25th, 2026)
