One year ago, our Fourth of July celebration looked very different—but it reminded us of something we’ll never forget.

Just six months after the fire, our traditions had to change. The Will Rogers 5K and 10K found a temporary home in Venice. Many Palisadians proudly marched in the Santa Monica parade, and our evening celebration moved to Paul Revere Middle School.

It wasn’t the Fourth of July we had always known. Yet so many of us came together. We hugged neighbors we hadn’t seen in months, shared stories, laughed together, and for a few precious hours simply enjoyed being together again. That evening, our very first drone show filled the sky with messages of hope, resilience, and love for Pacific Palisades—a reminder that while our town had changed, our community still had each other.

Now, one year later, we’re taking another meaningful step forward as our Fourth of July celebration returns to Pacific Palisades. The Will Rogers 5K and 10K are back, our hometown parade will once again fill the streets, and we’ll gather for an evening celebration at Palisades Charter High School with live music, family activities, food trucks, and another spectacular drone show.

Join us as we celebrate our community, our resilience, and the traditions that bring us together. We can’t wait to celebrate with you.

The Patriotic Pups of Pacific Palisades are ready for their annual march in the July 4th parade. Our sponsor, Paws ‘N’ Claws will once again be coordinating and leading the Patriotic Pups unit.

Pups will need to be leashed at all times in the Parade, including in the assembly area, and should be well behaved and comfortable in crowds and in the company of other pups, cars, horses and people.

All Patriotic Pups are asked to meet between 3:00 and 3:45 PM at Palisades Elementary School on the corner of Via de la Paws and BowWowdoin. We urge you to bring water for you and your pup. Some pups like to wear socks if the pavement is hot. You/your pup may leave the parade at any time along the route.

You will be asked to sign a participant form before marching. If you want to print, sign and bring it with you. All info is on Palisades4th.com

To ensure everyone’s safety – both on and off the parade route, we ask that the Patriotic Pups’ pet guardians supervise them at all times and clean up after them, as needed.

Important! No dogs are allowed on the Pali high campus so please make arrangements for your furry friends if you’re going to attend the nighttime celebration!

We look forward to seeing you and your pup on the 4th. Pet guardians are encouraged to take pictures of their pups in the parade and tag and

The Ronald Reagan Palisades Auxiliary Unit 283 again is offering monetary prizes for entries in the Palisades Fourth of July Parade.

“This year is especially significant because it is the first parade after the fires, and we want to encourage community groups and nonprofit organizations participating in the parade to help unify the community. The parade is a beloved tradition in the Palisades and brings joy to so many people,” says Ruth Kahn, who is the current President of Auxiliary Unit 283 and lived in the Palisades for 25 years until her home burned down.

The Auxiliary Unit will give two $500 prizes, one for the most creative hometown entry, and the other for the most patriotic entry.  The prizes are not limited to floats. “We want to inspire current and former residents and non-profit organizations participating in the parade to use their imagination to create artistic and innovative designs that will enhance the parade experience for everyone involved,” per Kahn.

Members of the Auxiliary Unit will judge the entries as they line up and along the parade route. Checks will be presented at a Unit meeting in September. Past prize recipients include Will Rogers Ranch Foundation, Resilient Palisades and the Palisades Veterans Gardens.
