One year ago, our Fourth of July celebration looked very different—but it reminded us of something we’ll never forget.
Just six months after the fire, our traditions had to change. The Will Rogers 5K and 10K found a temporary home in Venice. Many Palisadians proudly marched in the Santa Monica parade, and our evening celebration moved to Paul Revere Middle School.
It wasn’t the Fourth of July we had always known. Yet so many of us came together. We hugged neighbors we hadn’t seen in months, shared stories, laughed together, and for a few precious hours simply enjoyed being together again. That evening, our very first drone show filled the sky with messages of hope, resilience, and love for Pacific Palisades—a reminder that while our town had changed, our community still had each other.
Now, one year later, we’re taking another meaningful step forward as our Fourth of July celebration returns to Pacific Palisades. The Will Rogers 5K and 10K are back, our hometown parade will once again fill the streets, and we’ll gather for an evening celebration at Palisades Charter High School with live music, family activities, food trucks, and another spectacular drone show.
Join us as we celebrate our community, our resilience, and the traditions that bring us together. We can’t wait to celebrate with you.
