“Our Flag Was Still There” Named Theme for 77th Pacific Palisades Fourth of July Celebration!

The Pacific Palisades Fourth of July Celebration returns home this year with a powerful theme: “Our Flag Was Still There.”

American flags can be seen flying throughout Pacific Palisades many appeared right after the January 7 fire! This year’s theme honors the resilience, hope, and determination that continue to define our community as it rebuilds. 🇺🇸

One of the most visible symbols of that spirit was the American flag that continued to fly above the devastated Alphabet Streets on McKendree Avenue. High above the destruction, it served as a beacon of hope for residents returning to survey the damage. Another survivor flag was the flag above the American Legion. Throughout the past year and a half countless American flags have appeared across Pacific Palisades as symbols of strength, patriotism, and community pride.

PAPA is inviting local organizations, businesses, schools, clubs, and neighborhood groups to participate in this year’s parade. Residents from the Alphabet Streets, Huntington Palisades, the Highlands, Marquez Knolls, Castellammare, Tahitian Terrace, and other neighborhoods are encouraged to gather friends and neighbors to create a float, decorate vehicles, or march together in a show of Palisades pride.

This year’s parade will begin at 4 p.m., allowing participants and spectators to head directly to the evening celebration at Palisades High School, featuring live entertainment, food trucks, and a drone show.

Those interested in participating or sponsoring the event can find applications and additional information at Palisades4th.com. Parade entries and sponsorship applications are due June 8.

More than a Fourth of July celebration, this year’s event will be a celebration ofthe strength, spirit, and renewal of PacificPalisades. 🇺🇸💫🌟

Dear Pacific Palisades Community,
It was incredible to see so many community members at the Palisades Renewal Celebration where so many of us had a great time reconnecting and enjoying music, food and a sense of progress.

Thank you to the hard-working volunteers that produced the event. Now it’s time for more good news.

We’re pleased to announce that just eighteen months after the devastation that consumed our beautiful Pacific Palisades community, the Palisades 4th of July is back with a parade through the Historic Village and a spectacular evening event at Palisades High School. This is the 250th anniversary of the founding of our nation, and no one celebrates like Palisadians!

Your Palisades Americanism Parade Association all-volunteer board is planning a great day for our community. Please stay tuned for more information about how you may enter a float, march in a band, drive a classic car, or just walk in unity to show your pride of the Pacific Palisades.

More good news. In the morning we’ll all be able to participate in the Palisades Will Rogers 10K and 5K Runs and Kids Fun-Run, which will take place back in Pacific Palisades. The Run Committee is hard at work, and you can register now through the link on our website.
If you wish to donate to support the endeavor, we could use your help. To stay posted with the latest news and to make your tax-deductible contribution, please visit www.Palisades4th.com.

Wishing you the best,
