Waterloo, Dancing Queen, Mamma Mia… hearing an OPAC crowd sing every word never gets old.

Thanks to ABBA-MANIA for bringing the sparkle and nostalgia to a fantastic night.

Tonight marks an important milestone for Jacksonville State University and for the cultural landscape of our ONE East region as The Randy Owen Center for the Performing Arts officially opens.

On behalf of the Oxford Performing Arts Center, I extend our sincere congratulations to President Killingsworth, ROC Executive Director Emily Duncan, the leadership of Jacksonville State University, the staff of the Randy Owen Center, and everyone whose vision and dedication helped bring this project to life.

At OPAC, we have always believed that a thriving arts community benefits everyone. Investments in the arts strengthen education, enrich our quality of life, support economic growth, and create opportunities for audiences and artists alike throughout Northeast Alabama. A rising tide truly lifts all boats, and every meaningful investment in arts and culture helps elevate our entire region.

We are pleased to celebrate this occasion with our friends and colleagues at Jacksonville State and look forward to the many ways the arts will continue to positively impact our communities for years to come.

John Longshore
Executive Director
Oxford Performing Arts Center
