Here are some new Security and Safety Reminders from Central Mass:

• MPR people should be outside of the coaches boxes or behind the second white line (if available).
o MPR people once complete MUST leave the playing surface.
• Chains are held by the home team ON the home team sideline.
• Volunteers on the field, either team parents, chain crews, or MPR people are prohibited from excessively cheering during the game.
o Head coaches may ask that a team's volunteer be replaced and no reasonable request should be refused.
• Visiting teams may request, in advance, the sideline of their choice.
• Only coaches certified and CORI checked should be on the field.
• All CMYFCC events are gun and weapon free, drug free, smoke free, v**e free.
• Arguments about any safety measures will be met with an ejection from the facility and a ban from future events.

Here are our additional security rules for 2022, these are permanent for the entirety of the season including playoffs:
• Each team is allowed 1 (one) team bag and 1 (one) team cooler on the sidelines.
o Team bags and coolers are subject to inspection prior to field entry
 Bags should only include football equipment needed for game day including any helmet & shoulder pad needs, footballs, tees, clipboards, team book, note pads, team water bottles, etc.
 Coolers should only include water bottles, cloth rags for cooling, and ice.
 All other team or player bags and paraphernalia should be left outside of the field surface area, behind the boundary of the field, defined by a track, fence, or temporary tape.
• Coaches are prohibited from wearing backpacks inside the game field area.
• Associations playing games without a defined game field area, such as a track or fence, must either draw one with field paint, or put one up with temporary caution tape or fencing.
o A defined game field area should include no less than 5 yards of space, from the boundary line completely around the playing surface.
o If an association can not control their field area, they may be subject to loss of home games for the remainder of the season.
• No coach or adult, except the Referees, Head Coach, and EMT should be inside the numbers on the field. Fields without numbers this is defined as halfway between the sideline and the hash marks.
o If during the game anyone other than the head coach is inside the numbers, for any reason, the game is over.
 There is no appeal, there is no excuse, our playing surface at every CMYFCC event is for the kids to have fun and compete.
o This includes timeouts and half time.
o This includes breaking up a fight, if a fight happens at a youth football event that is unable to be controlled by the referee(s) and head coaches alone, the game will not continue.
o Suspensions and penalties will be governed by the CMYFCC coaches code of conduct.
o The only exception for a coach tending to an injured player. During an injury timeout there should be no interaction with the either team or the officials. It is intended to focus on the injured player.
• Handshakes should occur at the 50 yard line and teams should immediately return to their sidelines once over

What is the Jamboree?
The Jamboree is a Central Mass event that host all grade and league scrimmages and at the same time provides a single location for team certification. All players must go through the certification process to be kept on the roster and allowed to play. It is extremely important for all players to attend. Central Mass Officials can drop a child from the roster due to incomplete paperwork, an error, or missing from the team certification time. Dropped Players CANNOT PLAY at the Jamboree or any games until the error is fixed, and the player is recertified. Players dropped will be given 1 chance to fix an errors/update forms and get certified.

When will we know what time to show up?
The schedule takes a lot of time to make since there are 20+ associations with many teams each. The host team (Oxford Webster Pirates) has a lot on their hands with not only setting up Jamboree logistics but confirming with each association that they have a team at certain levels. We ask that our families be patient with the process because it is time consuming and very detailed oriented. As soon as we are made aware of the schedule the league will let you know.

What is the process for certification?
The Registrar of the league will bring all completed paperwork to a Central Mass official. The official will review each players documentation (Player Packet, Birth Certificate, Medical Form, and Report Card) and determine if the information is accurate and approved. Day of Jamboree, Central Mass Officials will bring the team over and complete the certification process by checking the roster photo against your child in line. They will also do one last paper review. If all your paperwork is correct and the picture matches the face on the packet, then your child is cleared to play. If there is an error, paperwork is missing, or the picture doesn't match then your child will be dropped from the roster and have to try to be recertified the following week. It is extremely important to get all your paperwork in and completed to the Registrar as soon as possible!

I am a Cheerleader, where do I go?
We will have a designated Cheer warm up area near the Baseball Field. Cheer does not need to get certified during Jamboree, they are usually certified during Fun Comp. Most coaches will ask your cheerleaders to arrive 30-45 minutes before the game, so they are able to warm up together and then walk to the field they are cheering on as a team.

Does my child have to attend?
YES!!! All Flex Flag and Tackle players are mandated to attend to get certified to play by Central Mass Officials. If a player does not attend, then they get dropped from the roster and will be ineligible to play. Central Mass has held a second certification date during the next week, but it is according to their availability.

What if we absolutely can't make it?
Please notify your coach immediately so that he can let the VP and Registrar know. You will be given a date, time, and location to report to Central Mass with your coach and the team roster book (a roster book is the team's binder of all the players that have been certified along with all the paperwork that was passed in).

Can I just stop in and get certified then leave?
We would have to make arrangements with Central Mass to do a single certification that morning. If you can only attend the certification, please contact your coach and the Registrar. The coach will need to know so that he is aware of who will be at the scrimmage and the Register will need to make arrangements with Central Mass. Be aware that Central Mass may set a specific time and you will have to be available according to their schedule.

How long will we be at the field?
Each team is allocated about 40 minutes to warm up/light practice, 20 minutes for certification, and the scrimmage is about an hour. Average time for each team to be on location is about 2 1/2 hours if there are no delays from previous games. Being on time and prepared is KEY.

How will I know where to go at the field?
Upon arrival there should be a football players entrance. You will want to drop your child off there because they will not let parents enter through this area. A coach, team parent, or board member is usually in this area and can direct your player on where to go. Most coaches will ask your players to arrive 15-30 minutes before warmups so that they can all gather together and then walk to practice as a team.

What to expect:
• Parents are usually only allowed in the game areas (that means you cannot go into the practice area or the certification area). Parents are welcome to drop their player off with the team and then come back before the scrimmage starts. We will have hand stamps for re-entry.
• In the past few years, the weather has been extremely HOT with little shade. Please make sure your kids are well hydrated and send extra water and Gatorade with them.
• Food Trucks, Water stations and concession stands are open throughout the area
• Porta-Potties are available
• There will be vendors if you want to purchase cheer bows, mouth guards, apparel, etc.

We expect this day to be long, but ALOT of fun for our football families!! 🏈🎀
