Here are some new Security and Safety Reminders from Central Mass:
• MPR people should be outside of the coaches boxes or behind the second white line (if available).
o MPR people once complete MUST leave the playing surface.
• Chains are held by the home team ON the home team sideline.
• Volunteers on the field, either team parents, chain crews, or MPR people are prohibited from excessively cheering during the game.
o Head coaches may ask that a team's volunteer be replaced and no reasonable request should be refused.
• Visiting teams may request, in advance, the sideline of their choice.
• Only coaches certified and CORI checked should be on the field.
• All CMYFCC events are gun and weapon free, drug free, smoke free, v**e free.
• Arguments about any safety measures will be met with an ejection from the facility and a ban from future events.
Here are our additional security rules for 2022, these are permanent for the entirety of the season including playoffs:
• Each team is allowed 1 (one) team bag and 1 (one) team cooler on the sidelines.
o Team bags and coolers are subject to inspection prior to field entry
Bags should only include football equipment needed for game day including any helmet & shoulder pad needs, footballs, tees, clipboards, team book, note pads, team water bottles, etc.
Coolers should only include water bottles, cloth rags for cooling, and ice.
All other team or player bags and paraphernalia should be left outside of the field surface area, behind the boundary of the field, defined by a track, fence, or temporary tape.
• Coaches are prohibited from wearing backpacks inside the game field area.
• Associations playing games without a defined game field area, such as a track or fence, must either draw one with field paint, or put one up with temporary caution tape or fencing.
o A defined game field area should include no less than 5 yards of space, from the boundary line completely around the playing surface.
o If an association can not control their field area, they may be subject to loss of home games for the remainder of the season.
• No coach or adult, except the Referees, Head Coach, and EMT should be inside the numbers on the field. Fields without numbers this is defined as halfway between the sideline and the hash marks.
o If during the game anyone other than the head coach is inside the numbers, for any reason, the game is over.
There is no appeal, there is no excuse, our playing surface at every CMYFCC event is for the kids to have fun and compete.
o This includes timeouts and half time.
o This includes breaking up a fight, if a fight happens at a youth football event that is unable to be controlled by the referee(s) and head coaches alone, the game will not continue.
o Suspensions and penalties will be governed by the CMYFCC coaches code of conduct.
o The only exception for a coach tending to an injured player. During an injury timeout there should be no interaction with the either team or the officials. It is intended to focus on the injured player.
• Handshakes should occur at the 50 yard line and teams should immediately return to their sidelines once over
