Where Chrome Color & Grub Collide. HOW DID WE GET TO BLUEGRASS LEGENDS EXPERIENCE CAR SHOW AND FOOD TRUCK RALLY BECOMING A REALITY? To start, over sixteen years ago, a group of hard-working car enthusiasts started an event, that was held annually, in West Daviess County Kentucky. Over the sixteen-year run, the founders and their group of hard-working volunteers set out to adapt from the traditiona
l format of vehicle awards to a new format of rewarding anyone who entered a vehicle in the show with cash giveaways every hour during the show, hourly give a ways became a fun exciting thing, with a larger drawing that would end each show day. When the day was done in 2022, no one expected as they drove off into the western Kentucky sunset, that a new legend was looming. Enter the timeframe of the beginning of a new show as well as the possibility of keeping a similar event alive. Bluegrass Biker News Motorcycles/Motorsports/Music was contacted by many people, with a simple request: "To Create Something New" The request came from a history of over 20 years of successful event promotions supporting local, regional and national charities through Motorcycle/Motorsports/Music Shows, Concerts and Bike Nights. In October of 2022, during Bluegrass Biker News sixth annual fall fest car/truck/jeep/motorcycle show for St. Jude held at Applebee’s of Owensboro Kentucky, that thoughts of rebranding a legend was inspired. Within days of that successful event raising over $20,000.00 for St. Jude Children’s Hospital through National Ambassador Sue Henderson, that Bluegrass Biker News Reached out to the former show committee, asking for permission to continue some form of a Legendary show in Daviess County Kentucky, out of respect, gratitude and in honor of what the founders had created for enthusiast of car shows. Within a few days and careful consideration of those board members of the former show granted Bluegrass Biker News Motorcycles/Motorsports/Music permission to continue on their traditional weekend in August, using only a partial name “Legends or Legendary” in the naming of the new event. With that the new show was born. Join us in the Future of Bluegrass Legends Experience Car Show / Food Truck Rally / Vendor Show and Swap Meet. The new show is being brought into the city limits of Owensboro Kentucky with a partnership with Visit Owensboro, The City of Owensboro and MCM Marseilles & Company Management. Thank you to all of our new partners and future relationships being established with the city of Owensboro parks department, city management and OVG360 the Oakview group as manager of the Owensboro Sports Center and Convention Center located on the riverfront in our beautiful “Award Winning City” of Owensboro Kentucky.
