Owatonna Color Guard 2015

Great rehearsal last night guard. You are all doing well and performing greatly. I am responding as a follow up to your request about winterguard. I understand there are some of you who are interested, and I am curious as to how many of you are? If Owatonna decides to come out with a Winterguard program, i will need a minimum of 9 members, and I would like you to compete the first year out. There would be no circuit fee, but you would be required to compete in at least 4 shows, 2 of which include scholarship (first show January 30) and championships (April 2nd). If you are interested to do winterguard I need 100 percent commitment to the rehearsal/performance schedule. I don't care who, but someone needs to let me know a DEFINITE number of members no later than October 15th. Knowing that the commitment would be December-First week of April. 1 or two rehearsals a week, with a few Saturday long rehearsals in the mix. Great Job tonight everyone!! I am so proud of your hard work that you are putting in. It was great to see you rehearse in costume too. They DO look wonderful on you all. This is going to be a great season. Please keep practicing at home and work on performing all the time. Next rehearsal is Friday night 5:30-8:30pm. See you all then!

Exciting News! The 2015 costumes are finished and will be arriving in Minnesota as early as next Monday! That being said, I feel we should reveal these costumes at the Owatonna Memorial Day parade! It will be a great opportunity for the home crowd to get a sneak peak to our show (plus we have never gotten our costumes this early so I see it fitting to break them in right away).

Also, I will be ordering flags, and gloves this week, so those should be in your possession within the next couple weeks. I am finalizing flag designs and will let you know by the end of the week what they will look like.

Reminder that we have rehearsal this Friday, May 15th 5:30-8:30pm at the High School, and Saturday 9:00-4:00pm at the high school as well. My goal for this weekend is to teach as much of the main moments of the show to you as possible. Attendance to these rehearsals is very important. Some of you have already experienced the reality of catching up, and I want to make sure everyone is there, so that we can all move forward together. Thank you all for a great rehearsal last night. You are making great progress and I am exited to see this show develop. Keep working hard and asking a lot of great questions.
