What a joy to celebrate the opening of Bietigheim-Bissingen Park this week! A gathering place that unites two cities and celebrates a lasting partnership. 🇺🇸🤝🇩🇪

Together as the Arts & Recreation Foundation of Overland Park and Friends of Overland Park Arts, we are proud to have supported this project with a grant that made possible the centerpiece of the park: an incredible sculpture by renowned German artist Dieter Kränzlein. Carved from symbolic shell limestone and shipped directly from our sister city, this work of art symbolizes connection, culture, and community at the heart of the new park.

From the ribbon cutting and music to the sealing of a time capsule, the dedication was a beautiful reminder of the power of art and partnership. We’re honored to help bring meaningful art to our community for all to enjoy!

As we say goodbye to summer, we’re also saying goodbye to the Stems Plein-Air Art Exhibit. 👋 This is the final weekend to see it at The Rice Gallery of Fine Art! (Aug 22-24)

This year’s showcase put $3,600 directly into the hands of local artists through the sale of their work. Supporting and uplifting local talent is at the heart of our mission, and we’re so grateful to everyone who makes it possible!
